“ProCEedS” – A sister project for ReTraCE

In order to complement the ReTraCE project and contribute to the existing fields of both Circular Economy (CE) theory and Supply Chain Management, the newly funded research project “ProCEedS” (Promoting Circular Economy in the Food Supply Chain) will work to providing insights related to the actual applicability of the CE paradigm in agri-food supply chains within free-market contexts.

Prof Andrea Genovese, of The University of Sheffield, will lead this Horizon 2020 EU’s Marie Skłodowska-Curie Research and Innovation Staff Exchange project. The consortium of 11 members from Europe and Argentina (The University Of Sheffield, South-East European Research Centre -SEERC, Universitá Degli Studi Di Napoli Parthenope, Uniwersytet LodzkiInstituto Nacional De Tecnologia Agropecuaria, AgritaliaRegather Co-Operative, Proteg S.p.A, Solagri Soc. Coop., Nefeloudis, Fundacja Rozwoju Przedsiebiorczosci) aims to investigate the challenges involved in the implementation of CE concept in agri-food supply chains in different regions through the examination and involvement of stakeholders covering all stages from primary production to the point of regenerating biological nutrients and redirecting them back to agricultural production.
