Bio
Jayani is an Early Stage Researcher and a PhD candidate at the University of Kassel, Germany. She holds a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management from University of Moratuwa, Sri Lanka. In her dissertation, she focused on the effect of social and economic sustainability in the apparel supply chains of developing countries. She worked as an Instructor and a visiting lecturer in the Department of Transport and Logistics, University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka, teaching Sustainable Supply Chain Management. She also volunteered as a core committee member for six years and served as the treasurer for two years in the young arm of The Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport Sri Lanka, Young Professionals’ Forum.
Research
Jayani’s research focus is on relationship management among different actors within multi-tier Circular Supply Chains (CSCs) in order to improve the implementation of CSCs. She will also investigate the influence and the importance of leadership styles for the implementation and stability of CSCs. Ultimately, she will develop a predictive model linking relationship management/ supply chain integration and collaboration and leadership practices to gain the expected performances in CSCs.
