Her main research interests include valorisation and sustainable use of resources from both perspectives of  laboratory scale tests and  holistic evaluations, based on Life Cycle Assessment method and  development of Circular Economy models. Recently, her research activity mainly focused on the evaluation of environmental  sustainability of second generation biorefineries and bio-based production pathways, in the framework of an efficient exploitation of
residual substrates.
